I was hired to make a brochure for a kids theater for an upcoming show. Which tells the story of a roman girl who, in search of her parents goes to her neighbor's library.
my tasks:
- Translating the play's story into a compelling drawing
- Create Graphic design for flyer
I made a few thumbnails to see which part of the story I wanted to depict and tried out different vantage points. Focussing on a book in a glass case emitting a light.
Having chosen a lower vantage point to show the vastness of the library, I made a value sketch and sent the concept off to the client.
After the concept was approved I added some attributes to make the interior more roman-esque and switched out the book with a shadow of a man.
